Our 2 cents…

World of Hyatt is the most recent reincarnation of Hyatt’s Gold passport - a program which inspired loyal following for decades. Hyatt Hotels only have 1/7th of the number of properties of Marriott or Hilton, but their points are routinely valued at twice the value of Marriott Bonvoy points and 4 times the value of Hilton points. You would obtain the absolute best value for your points by redeeming them for free nights at 5 star properties during high season or busy periods.

Chase Ultimate rewards is the only transfer partner. Transferring may be worthwhile, however check redemption rewards through Chase Travel and your Chase Sapphire Reserve. Don’t forget to add resort fees and hotel taxes when comparing the redemptions. In most cases, I still feel transferring to airline partners offers more valuable opportunities when used for travel in Business and First class, but those redemptions are harder to find than Hyatt stays.
